Privacy Policy

Short version: the NotchMemo app works offline and keeps your data on your Mac. We don’t collect it, and we can’t see it.

The NotchMemo app

  • No data collection. The app does not send your memos, intentions, habits, focus history, file names or any usage data to us or anyone else.
  • Works offline. No feature needs a network connection.
  • No account. There is nothing to sign up for or sign in to.
  • No online activation. Your license is not checked over the internet.
  • Local storage. Everything you create is stored in a local folder on your Mac. It is included in your normal Mac backups, and deleting the app and its data removes it.

Permissions

NotchMemo asks for macOS permissions only when you turn on a feature that needs them:

  • Screenshot shelf — read access to the folders you choose.
  • Downloads review and file rules — access to your Downloads folder. Files are only moved or removed with your approval.
  • Voice memos — the microphone. Recordings stay on your Mac.

You can change these at any time in System Settings › Privacy & Security.

This website

  • No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
  • Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.

Purchases

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments on its own secure, hosted checkout page. Your card or payment details go directly to Dodo Payments and are handled under its privacy policy — we never see or store them. We receive only what’s needed to issue your license, send your receipt and handle refunds: your name, email address, country and order details.

We use that information only to provide your purchase and support, and keep it as long as required for tax and accounting records. To ask for a copy or deletion of it, contact us through Support.
