Terms of Sale & License

The plain-language terms for buying and using NotchMemo. By purchasing or using the app, you agree to them.

Last updated 21 October 2026

1. The purchase

  • Price: $9 (USD), a one-time purchase. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. During a promotion (such as a seasonal sale), the discounted price shown at checkout is the price you pay.
  • Taxes: any applicable sales tax or VAT is calculated and shown at checkout.
  • Checkout: payments are processed by Dodo Payments on its secure, hosted checkout page. Dodo Payments’s own terms and privacy policy also apply to the payment. Your receipt and license details are sent to the email address you enter at checkout.

2. Your license

  • One Mac: each purchase gives you a personal, non-exclusive license to install and use NotchMemo on one Mac that you own or control.
  • Moving to a new Mac: if you replace your Mac, you may move your license to the new one. Remove the app from the old Mac first, so the license is only in use on one Mac at a time.
  • More Macs: using NotchMemo on additional Macs requires an additional license for each one.
  • Not allowed: sharing, reselling, renting or redistributing your license or the app, or removing its license protections, except where the law gives you that right regardless of these terms.
  • NotchMemo is licensed, not sold. We keep all rights to the app and its brand that aren’t granted to you here.

3. Refunds

If NotchMemo isn’t right for you, you can get a full refund within 7 days of purchase. The details are on our Refund Policy page. When a refund is issued, your license ends and you should remove the app from your Mac.

4. Updates

We may release updates to fix bugs or improve NotchMemo. If we ever offer a paid upgrade, we’ll say so clearly before you buy it, and you’re never required to upgrade — the version you bought keeps working on supported versions of macOS.

5. Your data

NotchMemo works offline and keeps your data on your Mac. We don’t collect your memos, habits, focus history or files. See the Privacy Policy for details. You’re responsible for backing up your Mac.

6. Requirements

NotchMemo requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later on an Apple silicon Mac. Please check these before you buy; the refund window covers you if it doesn’t work on your Mac.

7. Warranty and liability

We work hard to make NotchMemo reliable, but it is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we don’t give any warranty beyond what the law requires, and our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be excluded.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Changes don’t take away a license you’ve already bought.
